FAQ
What are your products and how do they differ?
We offer four different types of sachets, each filled with natural fillers and essential oils. We do not use chemicals or fragrance, just a rotating blend of fresh, top shelf, premium essential oils. We make batches in limited quantities with fresh oils, and we believe in seasonal oil rotation to prevent scent fatigue in critters and bugs. Each type of sachet is designed for different scenarios to meet your needs for freshness and protection in small enclosed spaces such as your RV basement, crawlspaces, sheds or storage units.

What’s inside the sachets?
Each sachet contains a natural filler infused with a blend of strong essential oils, including citrus and other plant-based oils known to repel rodents. No poisons, no traps—just clean, botanical protection.
How long do the sachets last?
All sachets are effective for 1 to 3 months, depending on conditions.
Factors that reduce lifespan:
-
High temperatures (especially in summer or enclosed vehicles)
-
Airflow (fans, vents, open doors)
-
High humidity
-
Strong rodent activity
How do I know when to replace a sachet?
-
Scent fades: If the aroma is faint or longer noticeable, it’s time to replace.
-
Rodent signs return: Droppings, gnaw marks, or nesting may indicate the sachet is no longer effective.
-
Target Sachets: Replace with regular sachets after once signs of activity have ceased and entry points are sealed.
Can the filler become edible to rodents?
Yes. If left too long after the scent has faded, the natural filler may lose its repellent properties and become attractive to rodents as nesting material or even food. Always replace sachets promptly when scent diminishes.
How should I dispose of used sachets?
Used sachets can be disposed of in your regular household garbage.
Do not compost, even though the ingredients are natural. The essential oils may:
-
Disrupt microbial activity in compost
-
Harm beneficial insects or worms
-
Leave behind strong, lingering scents
Can it hurt my skin?
Yes, direct contact with the oils or sachet contents may cause skin irritation, especially for those with sensitivities. Our blends include strong essential oils like citrus, which can be:
-
Irritating to skin
-
Phototoxic (increase sun sensitivity)
-
Harmful if rubbed into eyes or mucous membrane
-
Always handle with care, and wash hands after contact.
-
Do not open sachets.
Will it build up a scent barrier over time?
Yes. With consistent use, the oils can create a residual scent barrier in enclosed areas. This helps reinforce rodent deterrence over time, especially when used as part of a layered defense strategy: (Target → Seal → Defend).
How do I seal up after using Target Sachets?
Once rodents have vacated:
-
Inspect thoroughly for entry points.
-
Seal using:
-
Steel wool + caulk
-
Expanding foam
-
Metal mesh or flashing
-
Weather stripping
-
-
Follow up with Mini, Regular or Pillow Sachets for long-term protection.
How should I place the sachets?
(SEE FAQ - Placement Strategy for placement by sachet type)
Always hang freely by the string, or place in a safe, non-reactive container such as:
-
Glass or ceramic bowls
-
Stainless steel trays
-
Empty tin cans
-
Food grade Plastic with ventilation holes
A container may be preferable in RV basements, if the RV is not parked long term or if there is any risk of the sachet falling on surfaces that may be damaged by the essential oils found in this product.
Do not allow sachets to touch surfaces directly!!!!!!!
